Prawn Masala
Ingredients:
Prawn - 250 gms
Onion - 2
Tomatoes - 2
Chili powder - 2 tsp
Coriander powder - 3 tsp
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp
Salt
Oil
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Method:
- Clean and wash the prawn, keep aside.
- In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, when the seeds start to crackle add the curry leaves and ginger-garlic paste.
- Sauté for a min and add the chopped onions.
- Sauté for 5 to 7 mins, until the onion turns light brown color.
- Now add the chopped tomatoes and cook for 10 mins.
- Add the chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt. Cook for 5 more mins.
- Now add the prawn and add 1/2 cup of water and cover the pan with a lid.
- Allow it to cook for 15 mins in a low flame.
- Turn of the heat when the gravy becomes thick.
- Finally add the chopped coriander leaves.
- Now the hot and spicy prawn masala is ready to eat.
